Farline AI for Atlassian is an AI-powered project planning app that lives inside your Jira project as a dedicated page tab. It turns your Jira work items into a scenario-based forecast in minutes, with AI assistance — no external accounts or third-party services required.
What Does It Do?
Farline AI for Atlassian helps your team answer questions like:
- When will this project complete with our current team?
- What happens to the timeline if we add more engineers?
- How does descoping certain epics affect the delivery date?
- What do multiple delivery scenarios look like side by side?
The app works with the Jira epics already in your project and generates visual Gantt charts showing realistic delivery forecasts based on your scope, team size, and timeline assumptions.

- AI Project Builder — Describe your project in plain language and let the AI generate a structured plan with workstreams, work items, and a timeline estimate
- Scenario Forecasting — Create named forecast scenarios, each with its own scope and team assumptions, and view them as interactive Gantt charts
- Jira Sync — Push mapped forecast values back to Jira epics, and create missing epics when needed
- Confluence Export — Export your forecast to a Confluence page, keeping stakeholders informed without leaving Atlassian
- PNG / SVG Export — Download your Gantt chart as a high-quality image for presentations and reports
How It's Installed
Farline AI for Atlassian is installed by a Jira site admin via an installation link (during beta) or through the Atlassian Marketplace (when generally available). Once installed, the app appears as a "Farline AI" tab in the project navigation of every Jira project in your site.
No per-user configuration is needed — anyone with project access can open the tab and start using the app.
Where to Find It in Jira
After installation, open any Jira project and look for the Farline AI tab in the top project navigation bar (alongside Backlog, Board, Roadmap, etc.).
Data and Privacy
All data processed by Farline AI for Atlassian stays inside Atlassian's Forge platform. The app does not send your project data to external services and does not require you to create a third-party account during beta.
